Supporting People in the town centre

David Morgan - Bromley Town Chaplain says to business & other organisations

The health and success of the employer is directly affected by the health and well-being of their work-force...

As chaplains, we can often help people simply by listening to them and being sympathetic. Some issues though are more serious and may need professional help. In these circumstances, the discussion with the chaplain may provide the support the individual needs in order to seek such help.”

From the employer’s perspective:

  •      as the chaplain’s not going to stir things up, there is no downside:
  •      we’re not a shop-steward, although we can be an information flow (ie provide feedback in general terms) to management of employee concerns
  •      the chaplaincy is not about evangelism, but about caring and helping people as individuals to help themselves
  •      the health and well-being of the organisation is dependent upon the health and well-being of their employees
  •      they’re getting a fully-expensed and supported  professional at no cost to themselves:
  •      we may be wasting our time, but that’s our problem, not theirs

Why not contact the Town Chaplain – David Morgan – to discuss whether the Bromley Town Chaplaincy service might not be of value to your organisation and the individuals making-up your work-force?
